This ongoing project provides fire behavior analysis in support of the 2026 Truckee/Tahoe-Donner Evacuation Study, modeling potential wildfire spread, intensity, and spotting under a range of weather and fuel conditions. Findings help refine evacuation timing, route planning, and trigger points, supporting local agencies in developing data-driven community evacuation strategies for future wildfire events.
